Sprocket Designer
Define the tooth geometry and use the approximate outer diameter to select the nearest practical tooth count. The plan view shows the tooth profile; the 3D view shows the sprocket extruded to its axial depth, including the center hole and mounting boss.
Parameters (mm)
Linear distance from one tooth center to the next.
Total radial distance from tooth root to tooth tip.
Used to choose the nearest whole tooth count.
Axial thickness of the sprocket, shown in the 3D view.
Diameter of the center through-hole.
Outer diameter of the center mounting boss.
How far the boss projects beyond the sprocket depth.
Straight (unchecked) or rounded (checked) tip and base corners.

Calculation: tooth count = nearest whole number to (pi x approximate OD / pitch); pitch circle diameter = pitch / sin(pi / tooth count); exact outer diameter = pitch circle diameter + tooth depth. Widths shape the plan view silhouette; the 3D view extrudes the profile by the sprocket depth. The boss projects the extra depth beyond the sprocket depth for a mounting screw to a sensor axis.
